Welcome! Join us as twelve seventh and eighth grade students from Brooksville travel to Anchorage and McGrath for an educational adventure that includes the 2011 Iditarod Sled Dog Race.
Hey Guys, I'm really excited for all of you!! I'm from Orland, ME. I've been a teacher in Bucksport and Belfast, but now I am teaching in Shageluk, AK!! Our village is in the same school district as McGrath. I wish you could come see us here too. This is a real 'village', where McGrath is practically a city for this part of the state. We have only about 100 people living here, and only 12 students in our whole school. There is one very small store and a Post Office. I there are only 4 or 5 working automobiles in the whole village, including the one owned by the school.
Let me know if there's anything I can do to help with your project. I have skype, and I'm sure my students would like to meet you.
